Summer Outings 2019

 
Each year the Society arranges Summer Outings to places of interest. Arrangements for the 2019 outings are in progress and will be added as they are organised.
 
Tuesday 28th May.  Guided tour of historic buildings of Middle Temple, London
Meet at 10.45 am at the entrance to Middle Temple Hall.

A guided tour around the historic buildings of Middle Temple.  The tour will take you into Middle Temple Hall with its magnificent double-hammer beam roof which was completed in 1573. Generations of royalty have all dined on the 29ft oak High Table – reputedly a gift from Elizabeth I herself.

Wednesday 5th June at 11 am.  Visit to the Archives  at Brunel University

The Archives include the records of the British and Foreign School Society covering thousands of schools and 19th and early 20th century children's books.

Tuesday 16th July at 11am.    Outing to the London Transport Museum Depot at Acton

This Tour will cover all the rolling stock, equipment and infrastructure involved in the history of running London's transport system.
