Ruislip, Northwood and Eastcote
Local History Society

We are pleased to announce that our speaker programme will recommence in September with meetings held virtually using Zoom.

More information here. We will meet on the 3rd Monday of each month, as usual, but commencing at 8 pm.

Meanwhile, research on how earlier pandemics and lockdowns affected us can be read in "We've been here before".

We aim to promote the conservation of Ruislip's heritage and to bring the history of this area to life. Join us today and help conserve our heritage for tomorrow!

Situated in Middlesex, on the edge of the Greater London area also known as Metroland, Ruislip, Northwood and Eastcote together form the ancient 11th century parish of Ruislip. Ruislip Parish map, 1866

On our news and events page you will find topical local information. This includes relevant planning submissions with details of how you can put forward your views and comments to the local council.

We meet throughout Autumn and Winter to listen to talks. In summer we organise outings including walks and outings.

We welcome new members including corresponding members who may not be able to attend meetings regularly - you will receive all journals and newsletters by post.
